Hello, I’m Pam Smith
a genealogist specialising in family history research around the area of Rillington in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds.
My research is conducted in the local records offices of the Treasure House at Beverley, Hull History Centre, North Yorkshire County Record Office, Northallerton and the Borthwick Institute for Archives at the University of York.
My curiosity about people and how their lives were shaped by events in local and national history led me to develop a One-Place Study of the village of Rillington in North Yorkshire. My interests extend to the contiguous parishes of Scampston, Thorpe Bassett, Settrington, Malton, and Pickering. I consider the inhabitants of the village within their environment and geographical location throughout time.
If you would like assistance in discovering who your ancestors were and what life was like for them, then please feel free to contact me.
