Hello, I’m Pam Smith
a North Yorkshire based Genealogist

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t curious about people and interested in how their lives were shaped by the events in history. Discovering my own extensive family history required patience, attention to detail, resourcefulness and the ability to become a detective of the finer details and connections that only meticulous research can reveal. This combined with a natural willingness to sift through fragile documents and explore cemeteries for confirming details ignited the passion which now is my full-time career.

After choosing carefully to where gain my initial Genealogy qualification, word of mouth recommendation quickly attracted many commissions. My roles now include Family History Tutor, Education and Training Committee member for the Harrogate and District Family History Society, regular article contributor for Claro Ancestors and local speaker.

I know firsthand what it means to find the missing ancestral connections, so while I continue to expand my investigations into my own family history and pursue advanced qualifications, I am commissioned by new clients both throughout the UK and internationally.

If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me.
